A JOURNEY FOR HONEY - vol. I & vol. II

Every time I read my story; I cannot believe I wrote it. Cannot believe how wonderfully touching it is. That's not to blow my own trumpet, because I'm not that guy! Quite honestly, its quality has come from grind, hard work, and iteration, learning and relearning. I have loved that journey immensely. Having worked on this story for twenty years from a self-taught basis, I'm proud of it, and would love to share it with you.

BLOOD FALLS

In ‘Blood Falls’ I offer a speculative warning when nature’s own defences spring into overdrive against self-assured hubris. Unseating the most destructive species on Earth from its prime position in the food chain. When Mother Nature brings her own new alphas, that deviously execute unseen rear-guard offences, to correct the balance of life in the world. 

New Antarctic lands are discovered, new forests have grown, new habitats develop, from long-dormant seeds once sealed in ice. Global warming has happened. The continental landmass of Antarctica has emerged. Only a residual dome of ice remains. Those scientists who predicted the worst implications of devastating climate change find themselves astonished. Something unexpected happens. When nature fights back, to restore the balance of life on planet earth. Something else feels the life-force of warming sunlight. Something that threatens an Antarctic research team, and the entire world. 

THE CHURCHSIDE FIVE

THE EAST WIND

When Greg met Sarah, he knew that he would stop at nothing to win her heart and overcome all the obstacles which kept them apart. But Greg had scars that were more than skin deep, and Sarah wanted, needed to know all about the man she loved. The tale that follows is a heart-rending evocation of a different time and a life that many would find hard to conceive. A life where, as a child, the one person who should protect you ends up hurting you and those most precious to you, over and over again. As Greg starts to reveal the story to Sarah, he finds that sharing the hurt and the anger can have a cathartic effect. At the centre of it all, there is a woman who will stop at nothing to protect and cherish her children, whatever the consequences to herself. 

THE FOUNTAIN OF THE FOUR RIVERS - vol. I & vol. II & vol. III & vol. IV

Tells a story about George Lancaster, just a regular guy, except for one big secret. He wants more out of life, he wants everything, and he wants it now, and he's prepared to steal it. He considers a daring criminal deed. Carefully, unhindered, step by step he travels down a road towards a point of no return. Risking his freedom on a calculated gamble to gain everything, if he travels that road, will he be able to control the demons he finds?

Then something changes, a horrible day wrecks his life, tears his heart open, an unspeakable offence, that sets him on a new path. He practices familiar skills to rid the world of its most unwanted blight. Too good at what he does, he charges towards destiny and an ultimate abhorrent nemesis. An evil threat rooted in the long distant past, an unavoidable threat, that brings an inevitable challenge.

Vol. III - Finding Aurora charts Aurora and George’s highs and lows through a time-travelling rollercoaster ride of emotional fears and fun. Set in the future, our familiar protagonists find themselves settled in London and raising their daughter, when time tourism is a thing—the new thing that everybody wants to do. It makes stepping back or forward in time as easy as taking a holiday. Until that holiday turns into the worst imaginable holiday from hell. We’ve all had them! But not like this.

In Vol. IV, we find out if George can save her. He found her in Fountains Vol. III - Finding Aurora. Now, he must also save her. Will he be able to cross space and time, get back with her, and bring her home? Forcibly separated in space and time, they find themselves literally universes apart. To reunite they must endure, face dreadful challenges, and fight like they never imagined. But we already know they need each other, because together is the only way their world feels normal.

INDIAN SUMMER HAZE

A coming of age adventure of three brothers growing up. It was hard, it was fun. It was enjoyable and mostly it was good. It was what made me the person I am today.

What follows isn’t escapism, into a world of imagined youthful fun, it was all real. Proper youthful fun. Indian Summer Haze is a memoir of actual young lives as they were lived.

I have tried hard to ensure the story’s accuracy, to portray things as they happened. I hope you very much enjoys reading this work, and I ask, please kindly forgive my self-indulgence.
